Simon Shendelman was born in Lviv, Ukraine, one of the country's largest cities and main cultural centers.

He studied fine art at a local art school and various design studios. Simon became a professional artist and made a living by selling his artwork.

In 1982 he emigrated with his family to United States and settled in Worcester, Massachusetts.

In 1989, started business Commercial Graphics, Inc., a creative agency specializing in design, printing and marketing.

In 1990 he graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), majoring in illustration, graphic design and marketing.
